The coastal marine area stretching from Parga to Lygia is a protected Natura 2000 site (GR2140003), recognized for its exceptional ecological value. The region is renowned for its unspoiled natural surroundings, crystal-clear waters, and rich marine life.
Along the coastline, visitors can choose between wide sandy beaches with soft, fine sand and smaller, more secluded pebble or rocky coves.

Vrachos–Loutsa Beach

Vrachos–Loutsa Beach stretches for approximately 5 km, allowing for the natural renewal of its waters. This long sandy beach features fine golden sand, a gently sloping seabed, and crystal-clear turquoise waters. The stunning natural setting is enhanced by a pine forest on one side and olive groves on the other.

The beach is well-organized with umbrellas and sunbeds and is supported by all essential amenities nearby, including restaurants, supermarkets, and bakeries. Lifeguard services are available, and an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is installed on site for added safety.

Ideal for families, couples, and solo travelers alike, it offers a safe and relaxing environment for carefree holidays by the sea.

One of its most unforgettable highlights is the breathtaking sunset, visible from every point along the coastline, as it paints the horizon with spectacular colors.

Alonaki

Alonaki Beach, located in Valanidorachi (Preveza), is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Epirus, hidden within a lush green landscape of outstanding natural beauty.

Ammoudia is a charming seaside village in Preveza, best known as the place where the Acheron River meets the sea. Odysseus Bay, also known as Kerentza, is one of the most “mythical” beaches near Valanidorachi in the Preveza region. According to Homer’s Odyssey, this is where the wandering Odysseus came ashore to escape the wrath of the gods and the ominous prophecy of the seer Tiresias.

The beach features soft sand and shallow waters, with a small stream at its southeastern edge and a small fishing harbor to the northwest. Its calm sea makes it ideal for families with children, while its unorganized and natural setting ensures a peaceful and authentic seaside experience.

Lygia is a charming seaside village overlooking the endless blue of the Ionian Sea. It features a small sheltered harbor for fishing boats and retains its authentic, unspoiled coastal character.

Stretching for approximately 4 kilometers, Lygia Beach invites visitors to enjoy a full day by the sea, with easy access to local services and activities in the village.
